Zoie Chu is a 15-year old cellist from Bethesda, Maryland. She is a member of the Washington Musical Pathways Initiative. Zoie is a member of Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras, she has also been a member of many ensembles including the Maryland All-State Junior Orchestra, Annapolis Symphony Youth Orchestra, Equity Arc Pathways Orchestra, and Taipei Youth Century Orchestra.

Zoie is the winner of both the 2024 Intermediate Instrumentalist Division of the Ruth P. Cogen Concerto Competition and the 2024 Intermediate Instrumentalist Division of the Marlin-Engel Solo Competition. She also received an honorable mention at the 2026 US Army Orchestra Young Artist Concerto Competition and 2026 Senior Instrumentalist Division of the Ruth P Cogen Concerto Competition. Zoie has performed at various summer festivals including the Heifetz International Institute, Ascent Cello Festival, and Boston University Tanglewood Institute.

Aside from music, Zoie is also an avid swimmer and enjoys hanging out with her friends.
