Winnie Geng

An energetic and friendly 11-year-old girl, Winnie (Weitong) Geng brings her vibrant personality into everything she does. She started to play the piano at age 5 in Vancouver. Currently she studies under professor Langning Liu at the Royal Conservatory’s Phil and Eli Taylor Academy in the Junior Piano Program. Winnie has participated in various music festivals, showcasing her commitment and dedication. Most recently, she received 1st prize in the Taylor Academy Concerto Competition and Burlington New Millennium Orchestra Amazing Talent Competition. Additionally, she also was awarded in The Sixth Canadian Chopin Piano Competition and Kaufman Music Center International Youth Piano Competition.
Winnie is very passionate about charitable activities and has participated in numerous charity concerts, raising funds for Vancouver Children’s Hospital and children with autism. Through her actions, she is helping other children grow up healthy.
In addition to playing the piano, Winnie enjoys expressing her creativity through drawing, capturing the world around her with imagination and colour. Outside of her artistic pursuits, she is an active tennis player, finding balance between the focus required in both sports and the arts. A curious and avid reader, she often gets lost in books, always eager to explore many subjects and ideas.
