Isabel Tian
Musician

Isabel Tian, a Grade 9 student at the University of Toronto Schools, has been passionate about music since she started piano at age 6. She expanded her skills with the violin at 9 and the alto saxophone at 12, excelling across multiple instruments. Now, she is under the tutelage of Alexander Panizza (piano) and Min Jeong-Koh (violin).
Isabel has earned many awards at music festivals across the province, including platinum and gold medals at the 2022 Kiwanis music festival for both regional and provincial level. Isabel earned a scholarship from the Kiwanis Music Festival in the first year of her violin studies.
Isabel also actively participates in school programs, private lessons, and ensembles. Isabel enjoys being a part of her school's Junior Strings program, which is an ensemble consisting of students from grade 7 to grade 9.
Outside of music, Isabel enjoys dancing and painting, as well as playing volleyball and baking.
