Harvey Xu is a piano student at the Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists, The Royal Conservatory of Music, where he studies with Mr. Li Wang in Toronto. In February 2026, he won the Taylor Academy Florence Man & Bernard Sze Concerto Competition (Junior Division).

Harvey has received further recognition at major provincial and national competitions, including the Canadian Music Competition (National Final)(2025), the Ontario Music Festivals Association Provincial Finals (ARCT level)(2024), the Take the Stage Music Festival, the Unionville Music Festival, and the Pacific Rim International Music Festival.

His awards include the Grand Trophy, Chopin Trophy, and Young Artist Trophy at the CCC Toronto International Music Festival (2024), as well as the Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma Award (2025) and the Kiwanis Club of Kingsway Humber Award (2024) at the Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival, along with multiple scholarships and top prizes.

Outside of his musical studies, Harvey maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys playing badminton and volleyball, as well as roller skating.
